Reports: Al Fahim takeover on the brink of collapse...

Reports are tonight emerging that Sulaiman Al Fahim's Pompey's takeover is on the brink of collapse. The News understands there are set to be more revelations concerning Al Fahim's bid to buy the Blues emerging tomorrow. It is understood there are difficulties between the Arab property tycoon and Sacha Gaydamak. The proposed buyout certainly appears to be on shaky ground, although whether the difficulties between the pair amount to a collapse in the deal is open to interpretation.Chief executive Peter Storrie chose not to comment on the subject, admitting it was between Gaydamak and Al Fahim.A breakdown in the Al Fahim buyout would undoubtedly leave Pompey on the brink of meltdown days away from the start of the new campaign.
